Biography: A Chemistry graduate, post graduate in computer studies and MBA with Marketing specialization, Shailendra started
his career in 1991 with Cibatul Ltd., a Joint Venture between CIBA-GEIGY, Switzerland and Atul, India in domestic marketing in the field of epoxy resins, curing agent and specialties. After working for Huber (Erstwhile Hindustan Inks and Resins Ltd.) in international business, he moved to Europe to take up market development activities for Atul in Europe. He developed business for Atul in epoxy specialties, flavours and fragrance and pharma industry in various EU markets. Shailendra moved back to India in 2011 to establish Cardolite’s India operations in Mangalore. Cardolite, headquartered in Bristol, USA is a world leader in the field of Cashew Nutshell Oil based products with manufacturing locations in India and China. Currently, Shailendra, based in Mangalore, India is Vice President – Global Operations.

Presentation Abstract: Cardolite is world leader in technologies based on CNSL (Cashew Nutshell Liquid) which is a non-food chain waste
product of the Cashew industry. Head quartered in Bristol, PA in the United States, Cardolite has two manufacturing locations in India & China and R&D labs in US, India, China and Europe. Cardolite has pioneered CNSL applications in coatings industry since over four decades making valuable contributions to introduce and develop green technologies based on CNSL as a building block. The applications include coatings, flooring, adhesives, composites and other specialty verticals. The key value propositions are high biocontent, anticorrosive properties, excellent chemical resistance and faster cure at lower temperatures .
