By utilizing fully independent intellectual property rights (IPR) in barium sulfate synthesis control production technology and advanced inorganic powder surface treatment technology, we specialize in the production of synthetic barium sulfate with a D50 range of 0.2–3 μm. Our total production capacity reaches 300,000 tons per year.
Thanks to our advanced powder surface treatment technology and chemical methods for strict particle size control, we have developed different grades of modified barium sulfate products with organic or inorganic surface coatings. These products are specially used in powder coatings, automobile paint, water-based coatings, industrial coatings, coil coatings, ship and container coatings, printing ink, UV curing coating products, and other applications.

Gemme Specialty Chemicals was founded in 1988, specializing in the production and R&D of natural barium sulfate, precipitated barium sulfate, and modified barium sulfate for powder coatings, painting, ink, plastics, automotive coatings, waterborne coatings, masterbatch, etc. We also produce sodium sulfide, which can be used in the fiber and paper industries.
